The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) and the host Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA), saw Grant's volleyball squad beat Chavez by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Grant upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Lancers travel to Sylmar (Sylmar, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 12. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 12-11.

The Eagles now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Verdugo Hills for a non-league bout on Monday, October 10. Chavez will play a Dons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over San Fernando (San Fernando, CA). The Dons record now stands at 10-0.
