Next, the Buccaneers confront the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. Laney will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Screaming Eagle enter the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).

The Wildcats now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 10. New Hanover will confront a Pirates team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.
