In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Northside Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fleming Colonels.
The Vikings (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Lord Botetourt lost by Byrd (Vinton, VA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Colonels clash with the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 11. Fleming will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 9-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA).
