The Pinckneyville Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nashville for a Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi game on Tuesday, October 11. Pinckneyville will meet a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Carterville (Carterville, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 23-5.

The Wildcats (4-25) will now prepare for their game against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Indians enter the Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi game with a 10-16 record. In their last game, DuQuoin was dropped by Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL), 2-0, in a league game.
