The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), saw Deep Creek's volleyball squad beat Nansemond River by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 6-9 on the year. The Hornets host King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Southeastern bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-8. King's Fork lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)

The Warriors now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Menchville for a non-league bout on Monday, October 10. Nansemond River will play a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 13-0.
