The Emerald Vikings volleyball team (Greenwood, SC), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC)

The Yellowjackets (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodruff (Woodruff, SC). The Wolverines enter the AAA Region 4 challenge with a 9-17 record. In their last challenge, Woodruff was dropped by Broome (Spartanburg, SC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Clinton Red Devils (Clinton, SC) in a AAA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. Emerald will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Chester (Chester, SC).
