The Washington County Panthers volleyball team (Plymouth, NC), went down 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC)

The Red Barons (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Perquimans (Hertford, NC). The Pirates come into the Four Rivers 1A challenge with a 15-1 record. In their last challenge, Perquimans defeated Tarboro (Tarboro, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers encounter the South Creek Cougars (Robersonville, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A challenge, on Monday, October 10. Washington County will attempt to move on its 3-10 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 3-2 league loss to Bertie (Windsor, NC).
