In Thursday's league battle, the host Lewis Lancers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Mount Vernon Majors.

The Lancers (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Hayfield (Alexandria, VA). The Hawks come into the National battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Hayfield defeated Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Majors encounter the Edison Eagles (Alexandria, VA) in a National battle, on Tuesday, October 11. Mount Vernon will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 10-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Justice (Falls Church, VA).
