The Maumee Panthers volleyball team (Maumee, OH), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH)
The Wildcats (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (Holland, OH). The Blue Devils enter the Northern Lakes challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Springfield defeated Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH), 3-2, in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Clay Eagles (Oregon, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 10. Maumee will attempt to move on its 8-11 season record.

SYLVANIA - As the 2nd to last week of NLL comes to a close, Northview hosted Maumee for their last time as a member of the NLL and the Wildcats were victorious in straight sets to move Northview to 16-3 overall, 11-1 in the NLL.
Leading for Northview senior outside hitter, Sydney Hires, with 10 kills, hitting .500 while also winning 8 points on serve, and adding 4 digs on the night. Freshman middle blocker, Lucy Sauer added a crucial team-high 5 blocks while adding 2 kills and senior outside hitter, Kam Hunt added a team-high 12 kills, hitting .409, with 9 digs. Junior setter, Natalie Kercehvall added 9 kills, hitting .500, while posted a team-high 22 assists and 2 aces. Also for the Wildcats, junior middle blocker, Claire Smith added 4 kills, hitting .429 and sophomore opposite, Zoe Denny had 3 kills, hitting .500. Junior setter, Hannah Schoen dished out 15 assists and junior libero, Jordyn Pakulski added 2 aces and a team-high 18 digs.
