The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) and the host Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), saw Whiteville's volleyball squad beat Pender by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Whiteville upgrades its record to 13-2 on the year. The Wolfpack host Fairmont (Fairmont, NC) to play the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Monday, October 10. The Golden Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 1-16. Fairmont lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC)

The Patriots now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to East Columbus for a Waccamaw 1A/2A bout on Tuesday, October 11. Pender will play a Gators squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC). The Gators record now stands at 10-6.
