In Friday's league game, the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) football team were victorious over the host Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), by a score of 41-21.
The Highlanders (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars come into the Three Rivers game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Alleghany knocked off Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 47-0, in a league game.
The Cougars now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Radford for a Three Rivers game on Friday, October 13. Patrick County will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 55-0 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-0.
