    The Lancaster Tigers football squad scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Tyler Lions to 27 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

    The Tigers now possess a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forney for a 5A-1 Region II District 7 battle on Friday, October 13. Lancaster will face a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 13-7 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 5-1.

    Coming up next, the Lions face the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A-1 Region II District 7 battle, on Friday, October 13. Tyler will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Wranglers enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 61-19 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX).
