In Friday's league battle, the host Rice Memorial Green Knights soccer squad scored a close 7-0 win over the Vergennes Commodores.
The Green Knights (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Harwood (Moretown, VT). The Highlanders go into the Capital battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Harwood nipped Montpelier (Montpelier, VT), 6-0, in a league battle.
The Commodores (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Middlebury (Middlebury, VT). The Tigers go into the Lake battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Middlebury was overwhelmed by Milton (Milton, VT), 4-0, in a league battle.
