The Mustangs (10-12) will now prepare for their battle against Chester (Chester, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 1A Region IV District 26 battle with a 21-9 record. In their last battle, Chester nudged Leggett (Leggett, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cardinals encounter the Spurger Pirates (Spurger, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 26 battle, on Tuesday, October 10. High Island will attempt to advance on its 10-12 season record. The Pirates come into the battle with a 1-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Burkeville (Burkeville, TX).
