In Friday's league battle, the visiting Roy/Mosquero Longhorn volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Cimarron Rams.
The Longhorn (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM). The Rams come into the 1A District 5 battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Cimarron was edged by Springer (Springer, NM), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Rams encounter the Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) in a 1A District 5 battle, on Monday, October 9. Cimarron will attempt to advance on its 7-7 season record. The Red Devils come into the battle with a 10-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
