The Sweeny Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host La Marque Cougars to 0 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 19-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bay City for a 4A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, October 10. Sweeny will meet a Blackcats team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Columbia (West Columbia, TX). The Blackcats record now stands at 7-28.

The Cougars (0-16) will now prepare for their game against Stafford (Stafford, TX). The Spartans enter the 4A Region IV District 26 game with a 5-28 record. In their last game, Stafford was dropped by Columbia (West Columbia, TX), 3-0, in a league game.
