In Monday's non-league test, the host Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks volleyball squad scored a 3-1 triumph over the Academic Magnet Raptors.

The Landsharks (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanahan (Hanahan, SC). The Hawks come into the AAA Region 8 challenge with a 16-13 record. In their last challenge, Hanahan beat Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Raptors play the Bishop England Battling Bishops (Charleston, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 9. Academic Magnet will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Battling Bishops go into the game with a 9-10 record after their 3-0 league win over May River (Bluffton, SC).
