The Mechanicsville Mustangs volleyball squad (Mechanicsville, VA), dropped 3-1 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA)

The Rapids (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA). The Skyhawks enter the Dominion contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, L.C. Bird was beaten by Thomas Dale (Chester, VA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Henrico Warriors (Richmond, VA) in a Capital test, on Tuesday, October 7. Mechanicsville will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 2-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Varina (Richmond, VA).
