Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate (Henderson, NV) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Chaparral Cowboys (Las Vegas, NV), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirate (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV). The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Canyon Springs went down by Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon (Henderson, NV), 2-0, in a league test.

The Cowboys now sport a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley for a non-league test on Monday, October 20.
