California High School Flag Football - Escalon can't hold off Ripon

Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) followers went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), 14-13 in a league battle.

With the win, Ripon advances its record to 10-9 on the season. The Indians host Orestimba (Newman, CA) to play the Warriors in a Trans-Valley League battle on Wednesday, October 8. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 17-2. Orestimba won 33-0 in their recent league match against Hughson (Hughson, CA)

Coming up next, the Cougars meet the Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) in a Trans-Valley League match, on Wednesday, October 8. Escalon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 5-4 record after their 33-14 league loss to Hilmar (Hilmar, CA).
