In Monday's league challenge, the host Coronado Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Foothill Falcons.

The Cougars (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sierra Vista (Las Vegas, NV). The Mountain Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Sierra Vista beat Doral Academy Red Rock (Las Vegas, NV), 2-0, in a league test.

The Falcons now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Durango for a test on Wednesday, October 8. Foothill will face a Trailblazers squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Liberty (Henderson, NV). The Trailblazers record now stands at 1-13.
