Connecticut High School Volleyball - Pomperaug edged by Nonnewaug

Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Nonnewaug improves its record to 8-4 on the season. The Chiefs host Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT) to encounter the Highlanders in a test on Wednesday, October 8. The Highlanders go into the test with a record of 1-0. Northwestern Regional won 2-0 in their recent league test against Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT)

The Panthers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a challenge on Tuesday, October 7.
