In Monday's league outing, the visiting Arlington Spy Ponders soccer squad scored a tight 3-1 victory over the Reading Memorial Rockets.

The Spy Ponders (10-1) will now prepare for their outing against Melrose (Melrose, MA). The Red Raiders go into the Middlesex outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Melrose got by Wilmington (Wilmington, MA), 1-0, in a league outing.

In their next game, the Rockets clash with the Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA) in a Middlesex test, on Wednesday, October 8. Reading Memorial will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 3-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Winchester (Winchester, MA).
