The Firelands Falcons soccer squad scored 3 points and held the host Elyria Pioneers to 0 in the Falcons non-league victory on Monday.
The Falcons now possess a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Brookside for a Lorain County 8 game on Wednesday, October 8. Firelands will face a Cardinals team coming off a 5-1 league win over Clearview (Lorain, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-8.
The Pioneers (2-12) will now prepare for their game against Avon (Avon, OH). The Eagles come into the Southwestern game with a 10-2 record. In their last game, Avon edged Rocky River (Rocky River, OH), 4-0, in a non-league game.
