South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the host Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR), 5-3 in a league outing.

The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Indians go into the 6A Southwest outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Roseburg got by North Medford (Medford, OR), 1-0, in a league outing.

In their next game, the Cavemen clash with the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) in a 6A Southwest test, on Wednesday, October 8. Grants Pass will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Irish come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 1-0 league loss to South Medford (Medford, OR).
