The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL), 9-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Vikings now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais for a SouthWest Suburban Blue challenge on Tuesday, October 7. Homewood-Flossmoor will encounter a Boilermakers squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 10-8.
With the loss, Marian Catholic drops to 3-14 on the season. The Spartans host Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL) to battle the Roadrunners in a East Suburban Catholic contest on Wednesday, October 8. The Roadrunners enter the contest with a record of 2-13. Nazareth Academy won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL)
