Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Yellow Jackets (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Wildcats go into the Carolina Pines 6A test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, West Johnston edged Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 1-0, in a league test.

The Hawks now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Johnston for a Carolina Pines 6A test on Tuesday, October 7. Triton will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-7.
