The Monroe Redhawks smashed the host Mount Pleasant Tigers soccer team by a tally of 10-1 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Redhawks face the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a Rocky River 4A/5A game, on Thursday, October 9. Monroe will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a 2-9 record after their 6-1 league loss to Central Academy of Technology & Arts (Monroe, NC).
With the loss, Mount Pleasant moves to 2-12 on the year. The Tigers travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to encounter the Colts in a Rocky River 4A/5A challenge on Wednesday, October 8. The Colts go into the challenge with a record of 5-9. West Stanly won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)
