University Christian Barracudas (Hickory, NC) fans went home happy Monday as they saw their soccer squad hold off the visiting North Hills Christian Eagles (Salisbury, NC), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Barracudas (4-9) will now prepare for their outing against Challenger (Hickory, NC). The Firebirds enter the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Challenger tipped Christian Family Academy (Conover, NC), 1-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Patriots (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, October 7. North Hills Christian will attempt to move on its 2-11 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 2-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Statesville Christian (Statesville, NC).
