The South Caldwell Spartans soccer squad scored 4 points and held the visiting St. Stephens Indians to 1 in the Spartans league victory on Monday.

The Spartans now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Alexander Central for a Northwestern 6A/7A bout on Wednesday, October 8. South Caldwell will play a Cougars squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, St. Stephens falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Indians host Watauga (Boone, NC) to face the Pioneers in a Northwestern 6A/7A game on Wednesday, October 8. The Pioneers come into the game with a record of 9-3. Watauga won 4-0 in their recent league game against McDowell (Marion, NC)
