Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they witnessed their softball team run past the visiting West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA), 15-3 in a non-league match.

The Red Elephants (10-9) will now prepare for their match against Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA). The Longhorns enter the 5A Region 7 game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, Lanier defeated Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA), 15-0, in a league game.

The Spartans now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they host East Hall for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. West Hall will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-14.
