Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hickory advances its record to 26-4 on the season. The Red Tornadoes travel to Bandys (Catawba, NC) to face the Trojans in a Western Foothills 4A/5A test on Thursday, October 9. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 9-9. Bandys won 3-0 in their recent league test against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

The Cougars now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freedom for a Northwestern 6A/7A test on Tuesday, October 7. Alexander Central will face a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-16.
