The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Bland County won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)

Next, the Bruins meet the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) in a River Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, October 7. Blacksburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA).
