With the win, Letcher County Central improves its record to 17-10 on the season. The Cougars host Knott County Central (Hindman, KY) to encounter the Patriots in a District 53 test on Tuesday, October 7. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 24-2. Knott County Central won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY)

The Black Bears now own a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harlan for a District 52 test on Thursday, October 9. Harlan County will encounter a Green Dragons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Red Bird (Beverly, KY). The Green Dragons record now stands at 6-20.
