Fans at Monday's league contest between the Nicholas County Bluejackets (Carlisle, KY) and the visiting Harrison County Thorobreds/Fillies (Cynthiana, KY), observed Nicholas County's volleyball team hold off Harrison County by a count of 3-2.

The Bluejackets (15-5) will now prepare for their battle against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 2-15 record.

The Thorobreds/Fillies now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Patrick for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 7. Harrison County will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY). The Saints record now stands at 7-13.
