Maine High School Volleyball - Machias edged by Woodland

The Machias Bulldogs volleyball squad (Machias, ME), was edged 3-2 in Monday's league battle with the host Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME)

With the win, Woodland improves its record to 9-1 on the season. The Dragons travel to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to meet the Golden Bucks in a Class C contest on Wednesday, October 8. The Golden Bucks enter the contest with a record of 5-5. Bucksport won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Sumner (East Sullivan, ME)

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME) in a contest, on Thursday, October 9. Machias will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Royals enter the contest with a 7-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME).
