Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes (Homestead, FL) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Mater Bay Academy Rays (Cutler Bay, FL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Hurricanes (15-2) will now prepare for their game against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) (Miami, FL). The Stallions go into the non-league game with a 16-3 record. In their last game, Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) beat Pinecrest Glades Academy (Miami, FL), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
With the loss, Mater Bay Academy drops to 3-16 on the campaign.
