In Monday's league challenge, the visiting State College Little Lions volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Mechanicsburg Wildcats.

Next up, the Little Lions face the Chambersburg Trojans (Chambersburg, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth game, on Thursday, October 9. State College will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 9-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Cedar Cliff (Camp Hill, PA).

The Wildcats (9-2) will now prepare for their game against Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA). The Eagles go into the Mid-Penn - Commonwealth outing with a 7-5 record. In their last outing, Cumberland Valley was nudged by Central Dauphin (Harrisburg, PA), 3-0, in a league outing.
