The Hoxie Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Walnut Ridge Bobcats to 0 in the Mustangs league victory on Thursday.
The Mustangs now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cave City for a 3A Northeast game on Tuesday, October 12. Hoxie will meet a Cavemen team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Piggott (Piggott, AR). The Cavemen record now stands at 13-7.
The Bobcats (5-10) will now prepare for their game against Palestine-Wheatley (Palestine, AR). The Patriots enter the 3A Northeast game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Palestine-Wheatley was dropped by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR), 3-0, in a league game.
