The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Chavez Lobos (Houston, TX) and the host Westbury Huskies (Houston, TX), saw Chavez's volleyball squad beat Westbury by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Chavez upgrades its record to 1-6 on the year. The Lobos host Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, October 11. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

The Huskies now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lamar for a 6A Region III District 18 bout on Wednesday, October 12. Westbury will play a Texans squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Westside (Houston, TX). The Texans record now stands at 6-15.
