The La Vega Pirates volleyball team (Waco, TX), was dropped 3-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Gatesville Hornets (Gatesville, TX)

The Hornets (16-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Rockets enter the 4A Region III District 23 challenge with a 17-16 record. In their last challenge, Robinson defeated Connally (Waco, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge, on Tuesday, October 11. La Vega will attempt to move on its 2-21 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 25-14 record after their 3-2 league win over China Spring (China Spring, TX).
