In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Murray County Central Rebels.
The Knights (21-2) will now prepare for their battle against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop achieved victory over Nicollet (Nicollet, MN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Rebels clash with the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers (Westbrook, MN) in a Red Rock game, on Tuesday, October 11. Murray County Central will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 12-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Renville County West (Renville, MN).
