    • California High School Football - Alameda gets by Piedmont

    October 7, 2023: Alameda, CA 94501

    The Alameda Hornets football squad scored 16 points and restricted the visiting Piedmont Highlanders to 13 in the Hornets league victory on Saturday.

    The Hornets now possess a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arroyo for a West Alameda County - Shoreline battle on Friday, October 13. Alameda will play a Dons squad coming off a 46-0 league win over American (Fremont, CA). The Dons record now stands at 2-5.

    Coming up next, the Highlanders play the San Lorenzo Grizzlies (San Lorenzo, CA) in a West Alameda County - Shoreline battle, on Saturday, October 14. Piedmont will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 32-7 league loss to Newark Memorial (Newark, CA).
