New Mexico High School Soccer - Sandia knocks off Piedra Vista

The Sandia Matadors soccer team scored 6 points and limited the visiting Piedra Vista Panthers to 0 in the Matadors league victory on Saturday.

Next, the Matadors face the West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 contest, on Tuesday, October 10. Sandia will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 2-11 record after their 10-0 league loss to Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM).

The Panthers now have a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Farmington for a 5A District 2 contest on Tuesday, October 10. Piedra Vista will face a Scorpions team coming off a 8-3 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 4-9.
