The Green Waves (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, Giles defeated Galax (Galax, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rams encounter the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 12. Highland will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Fighting Blues enter the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Amherst County (Amherst, VA).
