With the triumph, DeSoto moves its record to 8-10 on the year. The Dragons host Parkway South (Manchester, MO) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Monday, October 9. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 19-8. Parkway South lost 10-0 in their recent league contest against Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO)

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Naylor Eagles (Naylor, MO) in a Class 1 District 1 contest, on Saturday, October 7. Van Buren will attempt to move on its 5-15 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 0-17 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Doniphan (Doniphan, MO).
