In Saturday's league battle, the host Archer City Wildcats volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Olney Cubs.

The Wildcats (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Petrolia (Petrolia, TX). The Pirates come into the 2A Region I District 7 battle with a 6-25 record. In their last battle, Petrolia was edged by Quanah (Quanah, TX), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Cubs clash with the Windthorst Trojans (Windthorst, TX) in a 2A Region I District 7 battle, on Tuesday, October 10. Olney will attempt to advance on its 5-15 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 34-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Archer City (Archer City, TX).
