In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Columbus Sailors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Solon Spartans.

The Sailors (18-22) will now prepare for their battle against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Warriors come into the North Iowa Cedar - East battle with a 25-15 record. In their last battle, Wapsie Valley lost by Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 7. Solon will attempt to advance on its 17-13 season record. The Wahawks come into the battle with a 10-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Linn-Mar (Marion, IA).
