The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL) volleyball nudged the visiting Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats (Cuba, IL), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, ROWVA/Williamsfield betters its record to 14-9 on the year. The Cougars host Mercer County (Aledo, IL) to face the Golden Eagles in a Lincoln Trail outing on Monday, October 9. The Golden Eagles go into the outing with a record of 14-10. Mercer County won 2-0 in their recent league outing against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL)

The Wildcats now sport a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Rushville-Industry for a non-league outing on Monday, October 9. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will face a Rockets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 10-11.
