The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL) and the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), saw Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley's volleyball squad nip Rantoul by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley upgrades its record to 6-17 on the year. The Falcons host Watseka (Watseka, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, October 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 19-7. Watseka lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Westville (Westville, IL)

The Eagles (12-17) will now prepare for their test against Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL). The Buffaloes enter the non-league test with a 13-12 record. In their last test, Georgetown-Ridge Farm held off Schlarman (Danville, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
